How the Brain Uses the Brand OS
DEMO DOCUMENT. Every company, person, number, and quote in this library is demo content — a placeholder showing the structure a real engagement fills in. Names marked * are not real people.
The Brand OS is not a PDF of guidelines — it's the machine-readable half of the design system. The brain consumes it the way code consumes a config file.
Tokens, never hex
Every color has a name, a value, and a printed reason. Deliverables reference the name (Midnight Green, True North); the build resolves the value. When leadership adjusts a color, every future deliverable inherits the change — and rule 06 makes a raw hex code in output a build failure.
The surface law
Contrast is measured, not eyeballed: which colors may carry text on which surfaces is a table with ratios, and the scanner knows it. The accent appears once or twice per surface — it can only point one place.
How collateral inherits the system
- Skills copy a gold-standard reference and adapt content — never redesign from scratch.
- The swap kit carries old-brand → new-brand mappings (colors, fonts, names, URLs) so migrations are mechanical where they can be and judged where they must be.
- Anything PROPOSED renders with its banner. The system can't quietly pass an unapproved brand as final.
